Fen Vet’s Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no question too big or too small for our veterinary team. Below are some answers to our most common questions.
What is Fen Vet?

Cody and Diana Creelman are the owners of Fen Vet, no private-equity or investors, just two entrepreneurs trying to build better veterinary clinics and raise their 3 children, Fiadh, Emerson, and Niamh.

We have 2 locations, one in Airdrie that has been open since April 2021, and one in the Beltline that has been open since May 2023. We have 10 veterinarians and 25 support staff across the 2 practices.

Where is Fen Vet located?

Fen Vet Airdrie is at 1001 2880 Main St. Airdrie, right across from the Walmart.

Our Beltline location is located at 1135 4 St. SW Calgary, AB at the One Park Central building, across from the Sheldon Chumir Health Centre. We provide complementary underground parking (one hour validated) beneath our building to alleviate the stress of downtown parking. The parkade is safe, heated and always has spots available!

Once you have parked underground, a quick ride up the central elevator will bring you to street level where you and your pet can easily access our front entrance.

What are Fen Vet’s working hours?

We are open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday at Beltline. In addition, we are open on weekends and until 10pm on Tuesday evenings at our Airdrie location because we know that your life is busy, and sometimes regular business hours just don’t work! Please don’t hesitate to ask for availability at either location if these hours suit you and your pet’s needs.

We would love to expand our hours at Beltline, but we just aren’t ready yet due to being so new.

Outside of clinic hours, our phone lines are answered by Registered Veterinary Technologists throughout the night to assist pet owners with emergency questions or concerns. We know how stressful it can be when your pet is unwell or injured, and how challenging it can be to access support at night. For this reason, Fen Vet commits to having trained health professionals available to provide medical advice on whether or not you should seek veterinary care with an emergency hospital or if your pet can wait until the morning to see one of our Fen Vets during business hours.

What should I do if my pet is on medication(s) and I need a refill?

To request a medication refill, email us at info@fenvet.com. If your pet has an up to date prescription on file at another clinic, we can contact them to transfer the prescription to be filled at Fen Vet. If refills are not available, one of our veterinarians would love to meet you and your pet to perform a wellness exam, familiarize themselves with your pet’s needs and prescribe necessary medications.
